More poems by Him
Two of his poems aside from despair when he asked me to get back with him
The void
They say time will eventually mend a broken heart,
However, I am still sleeping with the ghost of you and me
Every morning I hope the day will pass with ease only to face endless nights
Each night I hope to dream away without seeing your face
I cry out to the sky hoping to break the silence
All I could hear in return is the loud stillness in my head
Standing in the pouring rain with each drop pounding
I wonder how things muddle up in the way
I think back when the only thing that mattered was you and i
You were my everything, and you were my world
It didn’t matter where we were, as long as we were together
I wish you to be small enough to fit my pocket, that way you’d always be with me
I would dream of sleeping beside each other, even if we were cities apart
I would save the right side of the bed for you, miles apart, and hope you would save me the left
I’ve Loved You for so Long
Why can’t you ever love me
When I’ve loved you for so long?
Perhaps you could just try to see
That maybe I belong
I might bring smiles to fill your days
And words to fit your songs,
If only you would come and stay,
I’ve loved you for so long
Vainly, you search somewhere else to find
The love you ever seek
Touch and take this love of mine,
A love that’s yours to keep
